City Council for the City of Bradford is requesting letters of interest from residents interested in serving as a member of City Council.

Third Class City Code requires that the seat be filled by council within 30 days of any vacancy, otherwise the president judge of the county will fill the vacancy.

The term of this appointment shall be through Jan. 2, 2024.

Third Class City Code requires that an eligible candidate must meet the following requirements:

Be 18 years of age and must have been a resident of the City of Bradford for at least one year continuously.

In addition, those interested cannot be a county officer, an officer of the Bradford Area School District or an officer or employee of the city or any department of the city.

Any persons who meet the criteria and are interested in serving on City Council are requested to submit a letter of interest to: City Council, C/O City Administrator, 24 Kennedy St., Bradford, PA 16701, or via email at: c.lucco@bradfordpa.com no later than 4:30 p.m. on March 8.
