None of the eight new cases of COVID-19 in the region as of Monday were in McKean County, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
While there were no new cases reported, the total to date is 3,010 cases, with 9,580 negative tests.
There were four additional cases in Elk County, for 2,300 total — 1,221 confirmed and 1,079 probable, with 5,422 negative tests. There were two additional cases in St. Marys for 549 confirmed and 468 probable; one in Ridgway for 270 confirmed and 178 probable; and one in Kersey, for 83 confirmed and 106 probable.
There were four additional cases in Potter County for 904 total — 808 confirmed and 96 probable, with 3,093 negative tests. One additional case was in Coudersport for 332 confirmed and 38 probable, and three in Shinglehouse, for 147 confirmed and 26 probable.
There was no change in Cameron County. There have been 256 total cases with 935 negative tests.
As of Monday, there was one patient hospitalized for COVID-19 in McKean County, none in Elk and one in Potter.
Statewide, there were 1,521 additional positive cases of COVID-19, in addition to 1,906 new cases reported Sunday, for a two-day total of 3,427 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 915,018, according to the health department.
There are 1,959 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19. Of that number, 421 patients are in the intensive care unit with COVID-19.
The trend in the 14-day moving average number of hospitalized patients per day is about 3,600 lower than it was at the peak on Dec. 25, 2020. However, the current 14-day average is just below what it was at the height of the spring peak on May 3, 2020.
