KANE — The Kane Area Food Pantry monthly distribution will be from noon to 4 p.m. Friday at the St. Callistus Roman Catholic Church in Kane.
The food pantry will distribute pre-packed boxes in a drive-thru style at the corner of Chase and Haines streets. No more than two households per carload, and participants are asked to have a space cleared in the trunk or back seat for the boxes.
New clients are asked to call 598-6162 or 594-6918 before Feb. 24 in order to ensure enough boxes are prepared.
Anyone who wishes to receive food items is asked to come at the following times, according to the first letter of their last name. For February, the schedule is:
• noon to 1 p.m. S through Z
• 1 to 2 p.m. A through E
• 2 to 3 p.m. F through K
• 3 to 4 p.m. L through R
Participants must come during their scheduled time, or after that time. Also, they must bring proof of identity and address. Only persons living in the Kane Area School District are eligible.
