There were 20 additional cases of COVID-19 reported in the region as of Friday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
McKean County had 13 additional cases for a total of 2,994 — 2,261 confirmed, 733 probable and 9,532 negative tests. There were 6 new cases in Bradford for 967 confirmed and 162 probable; two more in Lewis Run for 121 confirmed and 329 probable; two more in Smethport, for 289 confirmed and 39 probable; and the remaining in Port Allegany with 191 confirmed, 27 probable.
Elk County had three additional cases for a total of 2,284 — 1,215 confirmed, 1,069 probable and 5,399 negative tests. The additional cases were in St. Marys, with 546 confirmed and 463 probable.
Potter County had three additional cases for 894 — 798 confirmed, 96 probable and 3,072 negative tests. There was one additional death for a total of 21. There were two additional cases of COVID-19 in Shinglehouse for 142 confirmed and 27 probable; and one in Galeton, for 62 confirmed, and 1 to 4 probable.
Cameron County had one additional case for 254 total — 172 confirmed, 82 probable and 931 negative tests. The additional case was in Emporium, where there have been 150 confirmed and 70 probable cases.
The health department confirmed that as of Friday, there have been 908,773 total cases of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania.
While vaccine supply from the federal government remains limited, the Department of Health is working to ensure the vaccine is provided in a way that is ethical, equitable and efficient.
So far, in McKean County, there have been 1,841 first doses of the vaccine administered, and 1,499 second doses. In Elk County, there have been 4,178 first doses and 2,163 second doses. In Potter County, there have been 497 first doses and 402 second doses. In Cameron County, there have been 889 first doses and 224 second doses.
