The McKean County Republican Committee is inviting voters to come out to any of five upcoming petition-signing events.

The events will focus on petitions for candidates running for county and local offices as well as statewide judge candidates. The committee is urging citizens to pay extra attention to judge races due to the activist nature of the courts and the state Supreme Court’s recent rubber-stamping of Gov. Tom Wolf’s actions.

The events are scheduled as follows:

— 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday at the Eldred Church of God

— 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at Smethport Fire Hall

— 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Port Allegany Veterans Memorial

— 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Togi’s Blue Room, Bradford

— 6-8 p.m. March 2 at Grandma Bair’s, Kane.

Refreshments will be served at each event.
