The Bradford Businessmen’s Chess League continued matches on Feb. 10 at the First Baptist Church.
In round 11, Dr. Gonzalez’s team defeated Bysiek CPA’s team in the junior varsity division to reclaim sole first. Bysiek has moved into second, followed by Tasta Pizza in third and the Williams Agency in fourth in the JV.
Wood Chiropractic still dominates the varsity. The teams of A Slice of the 80s, Beefeaters Restaurant, and Prestige: Watch & Jewelry are in a three-way tie for second in the varsity.
Jamin Bell (captain for Dr. Gonzalez) won his match against Sylvia Bysiek (co-captain for Bysiek CPA) to claim first on board one in the JV. Kadyn Tessena (captain for Dexter’s) and Sylvia Bysiek are tied for second, and Ewan Bell (captain for Dr. Wojcik) and Aiden Ferguson (captain for Tasta) are tied for third. Juliana Bysiek (co-captain for Bysiek CPA) has taken over first place on board 2, and Lucas Wallace (Williams Agency) moved into second. Micaiah Ferguson (Tasta Pizza) and Owen Tingley (Dr. Gonzalez) are just half a point back and tied for third on board two.
Mike Jones (captain of Wood Chiro) continues in first place, and Tamara Gennadievna (captain for Prestige) holds second. Ryan Ferguson (captain for the Movie House) is in third. Chris Bishop (Beefeaters) holds first place for board 2. Peyton Haight (A Slice of the 80s) is in second, and Jeremy Childs (Wood Chiropractic) maintains third.
