Data from the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported on Thursday indicated 18 new cases of COVID-19 for the region.
McKean County saw 8 more cases in Thursday’s reporting period for a total of 2,923 cases of COVID-19 — 2,210 confirmed, 713 probable and 9,361 negative tests.
Elk County recorded three more cases for 2,236 total — 1,194 confirmed, 1,042 probable and 5,255 negative tests.
Potter County had five more cases for 880 total — 786 confirmed, 94 probable and 3,011 negative tests.
Cameron County had two additional cases for 249 — 168 confirmed, 81 probable and 905 negative tests.
As for the COVID-19 vaccine, as of Thursday, McKean County organizations had administered 1,551 first doses and 1,158 second doses; Elk County, 3,381 first and 1,517 second; Potter County, 399 first and 324 second; and Cameron County, 601 first and 179 second.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed there were 3,978 additional positive cases of COVID-19 in the state as of Thursday, bringing the statewide total to 884,269.
In McKean County, six of the additional cases were in Bradford, where there have been 939 confirmed and 158 probable cases. The other cases were in Smethport, with 282 confirmed and 38 probable; and Port Allegany, with 187 confirmed and 20 probable.
In Elk County, one case is in St. Marys for 537 confirmed and 451 probable; one in Ridgway for 265 confirmed and 170 probable; and one in Johnsonburg for 123 confirmed and 78 probable.
In Potter County, two additional cases were in Coudersport for 321 confirmed and 37 probable; two in Roulette for 52 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable; and one in Austin, for 63 confirmed and 22 probable.
Both Cameron County cases were in Emporium, where there have been 147 confirmed and 69 probable.
As of Thursday, the health department noted there were three patients hospitalized in McKean County for COVID-19 as of Thursday’s reporting, two in Elk County and two in Potter County.
In the state, there were 2,789 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19. Of that number, 569 patients are in the intensive care unit with COVID-19.
