The Bradford Businessmen’s Chess League continued in-person and online matches on Feb. 3 at the First Baptist Church.
At the end of round 10, the teams of Dr. Gonzalez and Bysiek CPA are tied for first in the junior varsity division. This week Bysiek and Gonzalez will go head-to-head to determine who will win first in the league. The teams of Tasta Pizza (second place) and the Williams Agency (third place) are neck and neck in JV.
Wood Chiropractic’s team continues to dominate the varsity division. The teams of A Slice of the 80s, Beefeaters Restaurant, and Prestige: Watch & Jewelry are in a three-way tie for second in varsity.
Jamin Bell (captain for Dr. Gonzalez) and Sylvia Bysiek (co-captain for Bysiek CPA) are tied for first on board one in the JV. Kadyn Tessena (captain for Dexter’s) is in second, and Ewan Bell (captain for Dr. Wojcik) is third. Juliana Bysiek (co-captain for Bysiek CPA) has taken over first place on board 2, while Owen Tingley (playing for Dr. Gonzalez) is tied for second on board two along with Lucas Wallace (Williams Agency). Micaiah Ferguson (Tasta Pizza) is one point back in third for second board.
Mike Jones (captain of Wood Chiro) continues in first place, and Tamara Gennadievna (captain for Prestige) holds second. Ryan Ferguson (captain for the Movie House) is in third. Chris Bishop (Beefeaters) holds first place for board 2. Peyton Haight (A Slice of the 80s) is in second, and Jeremy Childs (Wood Chiro) maintains third.
