SMETHPORT — A Bradford woman accused of leading police on a high-speed chase in September was sentenced Thursday in McKean County Court to a term in state prison.
Rachel S. Anderson, 25, will serve 21 months to 3 ½ years in state prison for charges of fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, 10 counts of recklessly endangering another person, and one count each of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, DUI-controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
On Dec. 3, Anderson pleaded guilty to allegations that on Sept. 23, she failed to bring her vehicle to a stop when a police officer used visual and audible signals in an attempt to pull her over. A high-speed chase ensued, with Anderson driving upwards of 85 mph in speed zones that were between 25 and 45 mph zones.
The 10 counts of recklessly endangering another person represent seven police officers from Bradford City and Foster Township who were involved in the chase and three others who Anderson nearly collided with during the chase.
In Foster Township, Anderson crashed the vehicle, a 1998 Chevrolet Malibu that she was driving without consent from the owner. Also, she was DUI-controlled substance and was in possession of oxycodone hydrochloride and methamphetamine.
Also in court, Tom L. Reinard, 84, of Hazel Hurst, was sentenced to six months to two years in McKean County Jail with credit for 136 days of time served for charges in five cases. He’s charged in two cases with DUI-general impairment; in two more cases with driving while operating privileges are suspended/revoked due to DUI-third or subsequent offense; and in a fifth case with a summary charge of driving while BAC .02 or greater while license is suspended or revoked due to a DUI violation.
Matthew J. Miller, 35, of DuBois, will serve nine months to five years in jail for a charge of DUI-controlled substance.
Shannon D. Louk, 42, of Bradford, will serve five years of probation with a period of restrictive sanctions for a charge of DUI-alcohol.
Courtney A. Lajudice, 30, of Erie, was sentenced to 15 days to six months in McKean County Jail with credit for 40 days of time served and a term of probation for charges of terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia and summary charges. On Dec. 17, Lajudice pleaded guilty to allegations that on Oct. 1 in Bradford City, she tried kicking in the door of a residence, and she was in possession of three used syringes. Also, she tried making physical contact with a Bradford City police officer, and she threatened to murder the officers. After her arrest, she refused to go into the cell.
Christopher S. Mangione, 46, of Bradford, was sentenced to 11 days to one year in McKean County Jail with credit for 11 days of time served for charges of altered, forged or counterfeit documents, possession of drug paraphernalia and a summary charge. On Dec. 17, Mangione pleaded guilty to allegations that on April 24, he altered his vehicle’s date of inspection, possessed needles and drove without required financial responsibility.
Nicol M. Moore, 64, of Bradford, was sentenced to 30 days to one year in McKean County Jail with credit for 69 days of time served for a charge of accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property and summary charges.
Taylor R. Hadlock, 27, of Johnsonburg, will serve one year of probation for a charge of firearm not to be carried without a license. She pleaded guilty Dec.17 to allegations that on June 25, she carried a concealed firearm without a lawfully issued license.
Kira M. Frontera, 26, of Kane, will serve one year of probation for a charge of disorderly conduct and summary charges. She pleaded guilty Dec. 17 to allegations that on July 3, she engaged in fighting or threatening behavior against another person remaining on that person’s property without permission and harassing the person.
Jesse A. Chapman, 42, of Kane, will serve 30 days to six months in McKean County Jail with credit for four days of time served for a charge of DUI-controlled substance and summary charges.
William J. Haynes, 48, of Bradford, will serve three days to six months in McKean County Jail for a charge of DUI-controlled substance.
Keith R. Morrison, 36, of Johnsonburg, will serve six months of probation with a period of restrictive sanctions for a charge of DUI-alcohol.
Mitchell C. McLaughlin, 19, of Bradford, will serve six months of probation for a charge of DUI-general impairment and summary charges.
