As of Wednesday, the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 37 additional cases of COVID-19 in the local region.
There were 17 additional cases in McKean County for 2,915 total — 2,202 confirmed, 713 probable and 9,320 negative tests. There were two additional deaths, bringing the total to 60.
There were 13 additional cases in Elk County for a total of 2,233 — 1,193 confirmed, 1,040 probable and 5,239 negative tests. There was one additional death for a total of 34.
There were 7 additional cases in Potter County for a total of 875 — 781 confirmed, 94 probable and 2,999 negative tests. There have been 20 deaths.
Cameron County remained unchanged, with 247 cases and 7 deaths.
As of Wednesday, McKean County had administered 1,492 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and 1,137 second doses; Elk County, 3,509 first doses, 1,209 second doses; Potter County, 369 first doses, 320 second doses; and Cameron County, 611 first doses, 138 second doses.
On Wednesday, the health department reported three people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in McKean County, two in Elk County and two in Potter County.
The additional cases of COVID-19 in McKean County appeared to be as follows: seven more in Bradford for 933 confirmed and 158 probable; Kane, two more, 285 confirmed, 78 probable; Lewis Run, one more, 121 confirmed, 327 probable; Rixford, two more, 32 confirmed, seven probable; Duke Center, one more, 27 confirmed, seven probable; Eldred, one more, 127 confirmed, 24 probable; and Port Allegany, one more, 186 confirmed, 20 probable. The location of the additional two cases was not immediately clear.
In Elk County, St. Marys had seven additional cases for 537 confirmed and 450 probable; Ridgway, one more, 265 confirmed, 169 probable; Johnsonburg, two more cases, 122 confirmed, 78 probable; Kersey, one more, 79 confirmed, 101 probable; and Weedville, two more, 64 confirmed and 39 probable.
In Potter County, Coudersport had two more cases for 319 confirmed and 37 probable; and the rest were in Shinglehouse, where there were 141 confirmed and 26 probable cases.
