Bradford City Council approved a resolution to authorize filing a Keystone Communities Grant application during Tuesday’s regular meeting.
The resolution allows for a grant proposal for Keystone Communities Program funds with the state Department of Economic and Community Development. The intention is to obtain $24,975 for the Main Street & Elm Street program operations under the COVID-19 relief — Supporting Elm and Main (SEAM) Program.
In other business, council approved the subdivision of tax parcels on Chestnut Street, identified as parcels 02-019-119, 120, 121, 501, 502, 528 and 02-013-201 into one deed parcel, under the ownership of Robert E. Merry, Thomas W. Merry and Dennis J. Perkins (Bradford Pipe & Supply), to be recorded as DTR Company.
A resolution was adopted to authorize city officials to execute an administrative agreement with McKean County and the University of Pittsburgh, as well as the Commonwealth System of Higher Education for the Engineering and Computer Information Technology Building project at The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.
The agreement allows the Office of Community and Economic Development to assist with the preparation of a business plan and application, as well as administer grant funds.
Also, council approved a one-year lease renewal agreement with Kelly Daniels, doing business as Muddy Paws, for 62 Main Street and approved a resolution for a lease agreement with Community Links for space at the Robert P. Habgood Jr. Business Development Center.
