Cases of COVID-19 continued to rise in the region over the weekend.
As of Saturday, McKean County has 2,881 cases, up 35 new from Friday’s totals, including 2,188 confirmed cases and 693 possible, with 9,283 negative tests conducted. There have been 58 deaths due to COVID-19.
In Elk County, 14 new cases have been reported, bringing the total to 2,199, which includes 1,179 confirmed and 1,020 probable, with 5,171 negative tests. There have been 34 deaths in the county attributed to COVID-19.
Potter County has 12 new cases, increasing the total to 859, with 768 confirmed and 91 probable. The county has had 2,969 negative tests conducted and 20 deaths have been recorded.
In Cameron County, one new case of COVID-19 has been reported, bringing the total to 247; 167 confirmed cases and 80 probable. In the county, 893 negative tests have been conducted and seven deaths have occurred.
The breakdown of COVID-19 cases in McKean County is as follows: Bradford has 927 confirmed, 149 probable cases; Lewis Run has 119 confirmed and 327 probable; Derrick City has 15 confirmed, 1-4 probable; Rixford, 31 confirmed, 6 probable; Kane, 284 confirmed, 77 probable; Mount Jewett, 45 confirmed, 12 probable; Gifford, 15 confirmed, 1-4 probable; Cyclone, 19 confirmed, 8 probable; Smethport, 280 confirmed, 37 probable; Turtlepoint, 15 confirmed, 1-4 probable; Port Allegany, 182 confirmed, 18 probable; Duke Center, 26 confirmed, 7 probable; and Eldred has 127 confirmed and 21 probable cases of COVID-19.
In Elk County, St. Marys has 529 confirmed, 438 probable cases; Johnsonburg, 121 confirmed, 75 probable; Ridgway, 261 confirmed, 167 probable; Kersey, 79 confirmed, 100 probable; Weedville, 64 confirmed, 37 probable; and Benezette has 7 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
In Potter County, Coudersport has 311 confirmed and 37 probable cases of coronavirus; Austin, 62 confirmed, 20 probable; Ulysses, 51 confirmed cases; Genesee, 59 confirmed cases; Roulette, 50 confirmed cases; and Galeton has 61 confirmed cases.
In Cameron County, Emporium has 146 confirmed and 68 probable cases of COVID-19.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 865,604 total cases of COVID-19 across the state, with 85% of the individuals reported as recovered. A total of 9,459,462 PCR tests have been administered, with 3,688,185 negative.
