A Bradford woman is facing firearm and drug charges after a traffic stop Friday afternoon.
Chanelle C. Keller, 26, was arraigned Friday before District Judge Dominic Cercone on one count of firearms not to be carried without a license, a third-degree felony; and 11 counts of possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors.
According to Lewis Run-based state police, at 1:35 p.m. Friday, state troopers pulled a 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo over in the area of Elm and Davis streets for a traffic violation. When police interviewed the driver and passenger, they learned that both had active warrants in Pennsylvania.
Police did not release the second person’s name, only Keller’s name, and they did not indicate if she was the driver or passenger. It is unclear what the warrants were for.
While searching Keller, troopers determined that she was carrying a concealed firearm even though she did not have a conceal and carry permit, and she had multiple Vicodin pills that were not prescribed to her, police reported.
Bradford City Police assisted state police on scene.
Keller was released on $2,500 bail, and a preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 24.
