On Tuesday, the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 56 additional positive cases of COVID-19 in the region.
There were 36 additional cases in McKean County for a total of 2,782 — 2,095 confirmed, 687 probable and 9,135 negative tests. There have been 58 deaths.
There were 14 additional cases in Elk County for a total of 2,159 — 1,159 confirmed and 1,000 probable, with 5,084 negative tests. There have been 33 deaths.
In Potter County, there were five additional cases for 835 total — 746 confirmed, 89 probable and 2,914 negative tests. There was one additional death for a total of 20.
There was one additional COVID-19 case noted in Cameron County for a total of 244 — 165 confirmed, 79 probable and 884 negative tests. There have been seven deaths.
As of Tuesday, there were 125 new deaths identified by the Pennsylvania death registry, for a total of 21,812 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health indicated there were 4,410 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 850,488.
In Bradford, there were 21 additional cases for 888 confirmed and 148 probable; one in Lewis Run, 90 confirmed, 327 probable; two in Kane, 282 confirmed, 75 probable; two in Smethport, 276 confirmed, 36 probable; four in Port Allegany, 176 confirmed, 18 probable; Turtlepoint, at least one more, 15 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable; two in Eldred, 121 confirmed, 20 probable; and Derrick City, at least one more, 13 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable.
In Elk County, there were 8 more cases in St. Marys for 522 confirmed, 431 probable; two in Ridgway, 256 confirmed, 159 probable; and four more in Johnsonburg for 121 confirmed, 74 probable.
In Potter County, there was one additional case in Coudersport for 298 confirmed, 37 probable; one in Shinglehouse, 130 confirmed, 22 probable; at least one in Ulysses, 51 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable; and at least one in Genesee, 59 confirmed, 1 to 4 probable.
In Cameron County, the additional case was in Emporium for 144 confirmed, 67 probable.
According to the health department, as of Tuesday there were 3,280 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19. Of that number, 650 patients were in the intensive care unit with COVID-19. In McKean County, eight patients were hospitalized, two in intensive care; in Elk, two were hospitalized; and in Potter, five were hospitalized, one in intensive care.
Nine long-term care facilities in McKean County reported a total of 366 cases of COVID-19 among residents, 107 among staff and 46 deaths. In Elk County, three facilities reported 119 cases among residents, 50 among staff and seven deaths. In Potter County, three facilities reported 39 cases among residents, 15 among staff and three deaths. In Cameron County, one facility reported 36 cases among residents, 10 among staff and two deaths.
