On Sunday, the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 58 new positive cases of COVID-19 in the region over the weekend.
The case count in McKean County increased by 36 for a total of 2,736 — 2,061 confirmed and 675 probable. There are 9,026 people who have tested negative.
In Elk County, cases increased by 11 to 2,132 with 1,150 confirmed cases and 982 probable cases. The county has had 5,057 negative tests.
Potter County has 17 new cases — 739 confirmed and 89 probable — along with 2,898 negative tests.
In Cameron County, 4 new cases were reported for a total of 243 with 164 confirmed cases and 79 probable. There have been 871 negative tests there.
There were two new COVID-19 in the local region — one each in McKean and Potter counties — bringing the total in each county to 58 in McKean, 19 in Potter, 33 in Elk and 7 in Cameron.

In Potter County, Coudersport has 296 confirmed, 37 probable; Shinglehouse, 129 confirmed, 21 probable; Austin, 61 confirmed, 20 probable; Galeton, 61 confirmed, 1-4 probable; Genesee, 58 confirmed, 1-4 probable; Ulysses, 50 confirmed, 1-4 probable; Roulette, 45 confirmed, 1-4 probable; Harrison Valley, 27 confirmed, 5 probable; Mills, 7 confirmed, 1-4 probable; and Cross Fork, 5 confirmed, 1-4 probable.
In Cameron County, Emporium has 143 confirmed, 67 probable; Driftwood, 7 confirmed, 1-4 probable; and Sinnemahoning, 7 confirmed, 1-4 probable.
Statewide on Saturday, the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 5,191 additional positive cases of COVID-19, which brings the total to 839,239. As of 11:59 p.m. Friday, there were 140 new deaths reported in Pennsylvania, bringing the total to 21,602.
Also as of Saturday, there are 3,586 people hospitalized with COVID-19, including 699 patients in the intensive care unit.
The statewide positivity rate for Jan. 22-28 has decreased to 9.3%.
Through Saturday, Pennsylvania providers have received a total of 1,814,850 doses of the vaccine, and 757,766 first doses and 173,328 second doses have been administered.
