BERNIE: The Inauguration Day Bobblehead, which commemorates the image of Senator Bernie Sanders from the inauguration ceremony that went viral, is now the second most popular bobblehead sold by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.
The presale numbers have surpassed the Sister Jean from Loyola Chicago bobblehead, which sold 18,000 to earn second-place in bobblehead popularity.
Dr. Fauci’s bobbleheads remain most popular, with almost 50,000 sold.
Bernie’s bobbleheads have already been sold to customers in all 50 states, nearly a dozen different countries, and five continents.
When we saw Bernie’s charity of choice for the inauguration day shirts that they sold out of, we wanted to pitch in with a $10,000 donation to Meals on Wheels Vermont in honor of Bernie and the viral moment.
“We never anticipated the level of excitement for this bobblehead when one of our employees who was working remotely immediately alerted us about the viral moment. However, we know bobbleheads are the perfect way to commemorate a special moment, and it’s clear that a lot of people feel the same way,” said Phil Sklar, Co-Founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. “This will be a moment and meme that lives on for a very long time, and we’re excited to be capturing it in bobblehead form for people to enjoy.”
The bobbleheads are only available through the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum’s Online Store. They are $25 each plus a flat-rate shipping charge of $8 per order and are expected to ship in May.
This is the second bobblehead featuring Bernie Sanders produced by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.
A Bernie Sanders for President bobblehead was released in 2016 and is now sold out. The newest bobblehead of Sanders follows a string of recent bobbleheads commemorating viral moments, with the most recent being the Mike Pence Fly Bobblehead, which was released the day after the viral moment from the Vice President debate on October 7, 2020.
