SMETHPORT — Ridgway used a big second quarter to top Smethport 36-29 in a rematch of teams that met in last year’s District 9 Class AA playoffs.
The Elkers (1-1) led just 5-4 after the first quarter but grabbed a 22-12 advantage by halftime.
Aaron Sorg led Ridgway with 11 points, while R.J. Miller scored nine.
Smethport (2-5) was paced by Layne Shall’s 15 points and Alex Ognen’s seven.

The Rams (3-2) led 22-15 at the break before holding Port (0-5) scoreless in the third to take a 32-15 lead.
Cam Stelene added 10 for Jburg. Port Allegany was paced by Dominic Guerrero’s seven points.

Kaelee Bresslin paced Cameron County (6-3) with 19 points, while Mallory McKimm scored 13 and Hailey Hilfiger added 12. Cameron County led 35-18 at halftime. Bresslin, McKimm and Taylor Lamont each hit a pair of triples.
Jburg (1-4) picked up 14 points from Kaci Stelene.
