JOHNSONBURG — Katie Sheeler dropped 31 of Otto-Eldred’s 43 points, paving the way for a narrow 43-40 win for the Lady Terrors (7-1) over Johnsonburg on the road.
Sheeler scored her 31 points on 10 field goals and went 8-of-14 at the line.
After taking an 8-4 lead after the first, O-E scored 16 second quarter points to take a 24-10 halftime advantage.
But the Lady Rams (1-3) didn’t back down, scoring 30 second half points, including 18 in the fourth quarter to nearly complete the comeback.
“I thought our defense in the second half was atrocious,” O-E head coach Shawn Gray said. “Offensively, other than the second quarter, we couldn’t get anything going. Thankfully Katie put us on her back for pretty much the entire game and led us to a win.”
Kaci Stelene was Johnsonburg’s leading scorer with 10 points, eight of which came at the free throw line. Julia Jones finished the night with nine points on three field goals and three free throws.
