The COVID-19 free testing clinic at the old St. Bernard School on West Washington Street in Bradford will be open through Sunday.

The site has the capacity to test 450 per day, but the number of people making use of the clinic has been just over 100 a day.

Pamela Burlingame, chief clerk for the McKean County commissioners, said a total of 245 tests had been performed on Wednesday and Thursday.

The site will be open today and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and offers both drive-thru and indoor testing. It is not a rapid test, so results will take two to three days.

No appointment is necessary.

Anyone can get a no-cost test at this location. A photo ID and insurance card are required.

Patients must be ages three and older and are not required to show symptoms of COVID-19 in order to be tested. Up to 450 patients can be tested per day.

Mid-nasal passage swab PCR tests will be performed.

Registration will also be completed on-site.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health asks that people self-isolate while waiting for lab results.

If the test is positive, the patient should contact people with whom they had been in close contact two days before becoming sick, or two days before testing positive, and let the people know they should quarantine at home. For people who do not develop symptoms, quarantine can end after Day 10 without testing.

The health department asks that people who test positive cooperate with the contact tracing phone call for a case investigation.
