GO BILLS!: Eric Jones, sculptor and caricature artist, told Era staff in October his favorite medium is snow.
Jones used his talents to create an eight-foot sculpture of Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
The sculpture is made entirely of snow, with spray paint accents.
Jones is known around the area for his caricatures and his talent in pumpkin carving. However, when the cold weather hits, Jones shared the fact he thoroughly enjoys getting outside and creating using snow as a medium.
In late December, Jones created a Buffalo Bills helmet. In light of the continued successful season for the Bills, Jones opted to create Allen as his latest endeavor.

MARS ROVER: In just one month, on Feb. 18, 2021, NASA’s Mars Perseverance rover will touch down on the Red Planet. There are many ways you can participate and get ready for the big day.
Those interested can also download a landing toolkit, available at https://mars.nasa.gov/mars2020/timeline/landing/. This toolkit includes posters, stickers and fact sheets regarding the mission and landing.
Students and teachers can also modify a paper-cup spacecraft so it can zip down a line and drop a “lander” onto a target; design and build a lander that will protect two “astronauts” when they touch down and create a paper rocket that can be launched from a soda straw.
On Feb. 18, don’t forget to tune in to watch the NASA TV broadcast live from 11:15 a.m. PST/2:15 p.m. EST.
Follow Perseverance using NASA’s Twitter and Facebook. Share videos of celebrations of the landing, and send in video questions using the #CountdownToMars.
