Tuesday’s data from the Pennsylvania Department of Health showed an additional 67 cases of COVID-19 in the region.
There were 22 additional cases in McKean County for a total of 2,314 — 1,821 confirmed and 493 probable, with 8,522 negative tests. There have been 49 deaths.
In Elk County, there were 36 additional cases for 1,983 total — 1,104 confirmed and 879 probable, with 4,849 negative tests. There have been 27 deaths.
In Potter County, there were 5 additional cases for 774 total — 674 confirmed and 100 probable, with 2,774 negative tests. There have been 17 deaths.
In Cameron County, there were 4 additional cases for a total of 216 — 153 confirmed and 63 probable, with 835 negative tests. There have been 6 deaths. In the state, there were 77 new deaths reported as of Tuesday, for a total of 19,467 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
Six additional cases of COVID-19 were reported in Bradford, for a total of 730 confirmed and 141 probable; Smethport, 1 more, 249 confirmed, 33 probable; Duke Center, 2 more, 26 confirmed, 6 probable; Eldred, 3 more, 101 confirmed, 17 probable; Port Allegany, 2 more, 160 confirmed, 13 probable; Kane, 6 more, 262 confirmed, 64 probable; and Ludlow, 8 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable.
In Elk County, there were 15 more cases in St. Marys for 497 confirmed and 374 probable; ten more in Ridgway for 248 confirmed, 140 probable; Johnsonburg, 1 more case, 116 confirmed, 55 probable; Kersey, 4 more cases, 70 confirmed, 90 probable; Weedville, 3 more, 58 confirmed, 36 probable; and the additional cases in Wilcox, where there were 26 confirmed and 24 probable.
In Potter County, there was one additional case in Genesee for 55 confirmed; at least one in Galeton for 58 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable; and an increase in Shinglehouse to 114 confirmed and 20 probable.
All four additional cases in Cameron County were in Emporium, where there were 136 confirmed cases, and 52 probable.
The Department of Health on Tuesday indicated there were 5,341 additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania, bringing the statewide total to 777,186.
There are 4,582 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19 in Pennsylvania. Of that number, 950 patients are in the intensive care unit with COVID-19. In McKean County, there are nine patients hospitalized; in Elk, 4; and in Potter, seven hospitalized, two in intensive care.
In nursing and personal care homes, there are 59,995 resident cases of COVID-19, and 11,204 cases among employees, for a total of 71,199 at 1,521 distinct facilities in all 67 counties. Out of our total deaths, 10,041 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities.
In McKean County, 9 facilities have reported 339 COVID-19 cases among residents, 94 among staff and 30 deaths. In Elk County, 3 facilities have reported 110 cases among residents, 47 among staff and 7 deaths. In Potter County, two facilities have reported 33 cases among residents and 15 among staff. In Cameron County, one facility reported 33 cases among residents, 9 among staff and one death.
