The Bradford Businessmen’s Chess League resumed in-person competition on Jan. 13. After round 7, Dr. Gonzalez’s team dominated the junior varsity division by 1.5 games, and Wood Chiropractic’s team led the varsity by one game.
Beefeater’s team is in second in the varsity. The teams of Main Street Movie House, A Slice of the 80s, and Prestige: Watch & Jewelry are tied for third. Bysiek CPA’s team is gaining on Dr. Gonzalez in the JV, and the Williams Agency’s team is in third.
Top individual scorer for board one in the junior varsity is Jamin Bell (captain for Dr. Gonzalez). Sylvia Bysiek (co-captain for Bysiek CPA) won her match to move into second. Kadyn Tessena (captain for Dexter’s) and Aiden Ferguson (captain for Tasta Pizza) drew their match to drop to tie for third. Owen Tingley (playing for Dr. Gonzalez) is in first place for board 2, and Juliana Bysiek (co-captain for Bysiek CPA) is just one back in second. Lucas Wallace (member of the Williams Agency) holds third place.
Mike Jones (captain of Wood Chiropractic) continues in first place, and Tamara Gennadievna (captain for Prestige) is in second. It’s a 3-way tie for third place with Mark Caminite (captain for E&M Engineers), Ryan Ferguson (captain for the Movie House), and Bob Ferguson (captain for Beefeater’s). Chris Bishop (Beefeater’s) is in first place for board 2. Peyton Haight (A Slice of the 80s) holds second, and Ed Bysiek (Main Street Movie House), along with Jeremy Childs (Wood Chiropractic) are tied for third on board 2.
