We recently had many of our Republican representatives and senators coming out to condemn the recent coup attempt at the U.S. Capitol.
Those who voted NOT to accept the election results for their farfetched reasons added fuel to the fire and gave the rioters legitimacy. They are now trying to defend their positions to deflect the blame from themselves and are just as guilty of the assault on our capitol as those who climbed the walls.
They, along with the rioters and Trump, have blood on their hands. Notice how Trump, their hero, abandoned those who he promised to walk with down Pennsylvania Avenue by calling for members of his mob to be arrested and prosecuted after first saying he loved them.
Those politicians trying to cover their behinds and save their political futures by this too-late condemnation of the radical rioting cult are by their actions complicit and should be removed from office.
Trump actually called for this coup attempt, the assault on our democratic republic and the Capitol, and he was backed up by those politicians who chose not to accept the election results. There never was as better argument for getting rid of the Electoral College than this latest coup attempt.
