The cause of the Tuesday blaze on Barbour Street in Bradford remains undetermined.

State police fire marshal Trooper Russell Stewart was called in to investigate the fire at 112 Barbour St., which was called in by a Bradford City Police officer just after 4 p.m.

Residents Marla Kearns and Kelly Baltimore, along with several pets, were displaced by the fire. No injuries were reported and all pets got out of the house safely.

After being dispatched at 4:07 p.m., Bradford City firefighters arrived at the scene to heavy flames and smoke, which caused extensive damage to the house owned by David Monago. Bradford Township Volunteer Fire Department were called to provide RIT, while Derrick City Volunteer Fire department was on standby. Firefighters reportedly had the fire under control by 4:53 p.m. and were returning back to the station by 8:36 p.m.

“The amount of damage to the structure was roughly $57,000,” noted Bradford City Fire Department Capt. J.D. Tehle.

Additionally, Tehle reported roughly $30,000 in damage to the victims’ personal belongings.
