A total of 135 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the four counties in our coverage area over the weekend.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health reports indicated 65 additional cases were recorded for a total of 2,079 in McKean County; 42 additional cases for Elk County, increasing the total to 1,670 cases; 25 additional cases for Potter County, making their current total case count 705; and three additional cases were reported for Cameron County, increasing the total case count to 186.
In McKean County, there are currently 1,663 confirmed cases and 416 probable, with 8,270 negative tests administered. McKean County reported three additional deaths over the weekend, bringing the total to 32 deaths as a result of the coronavirus.
In Elk County, there are 1,041 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 629 probable, with 4,721 negative tests. Elk County has reported a total of 23 deaths due to the coronavirus.
Potter County has 627 confirmed cases and 78 probable, with 2,662 negative tests reported. Potter County has had 16 deaths due to COVID-19.
Cameron has 134 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 52 probable, with 801 negative tests administered. Cameron County has reported four deaths as a result of COVID-19.
Case counts by municipality in McKean County are as follows: Bradford has 670 confirmed and 124 probable cases; Smethport 223 confirmed, 18 probable; Kane 241 confirmed, 36 probable; Eldred 93 confirmed, 11 probable; Turtlepoint 13 confirmed cases; Port Allegany 144 confirmed, 11 probable; Rixford 24 confirmed cases; Lewis Run 84 confirmed cases, 167 probable; Duke Center 24 confirmed, 6 probable; Derrick City 11 confirmed; Gifford 10 confirmed and Mount Jewett 40 confirmed cases and 10 probable cases of coronavirus.
In Elk County,
St. Marys has 471 confirmed and 248 probable cases; Ridgway 229 confirmed, 90 probable; Johnsonburg 110 confirmed, 43 probable and Sigel has 36 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 10 probable.
For Potter County, the breakdown among municipalities reports Coudersport has 253 confirmed cases and 39 probable; Shinglehouse has 102 confirmed and 14 probable cases; Ulysses has 49 confirmed, Genesee has 50 confirmed cases and Galeton has 55 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
In Cameron County, Emporium has 120 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported and 44 probable cases.
