The region reported 53 additional cases of COVID-19, as the state continues to deal with a spike in coronavirus cases.
McKean County had 26 additional cases of COVID-19 Thursday, bringing the county total to 1,930. Meanwhile, Elk County had 15 additional cases for 1,605, Potter County had six additional cases for a total of 665 and Cameron County had eight additional cases for 181 total.
In McKean County, the cases break down to 1,533 confirmed and 397 probable, with 8,140 negative tests. To date, there have been 26 deaths. In Elk County, the total breaks down to 1,008 confirmed cases and 597 probable, with 4,653 negative tests. Elk County has also had 21 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
In Potter County, there are 593 confirmed and 72 probable cases, with 2,622 negative tests. The county has had 15 deaths due to coronavirus. Cameron County has 131 confirmed cases and 50 probable, with 794 negative tests. There have been four deaths due to COVID-19.
In McKean, Bradford has 625 confirmed and 124 probable cases; Lewis Run has 82 confirmed cases and 153 probable; Rew has 21 confirmed; Gifford has nine confirmed cases of coronavirus; Smethport has 201 confirmed and 18 probable; Cyclone has 11 confirmed cases and eight probable; Kane has 227 confirmed cases and 33 probable; Mount Jewett has 36 confirmed cases and nine probable; Port Allegany has 131 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 12 probable; Turtlepoint has 12 confirmed cases; Eldred has 84 confirmed and 11 probable cases; Duke Center has 17 confirmed and six probable cases; and Rixford has 23 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
In Elk County, St. Marys has 454 confirmed cases and 235 probable; Ridgway has 222 confirmed and 87 probable cases; Johnsonburg has 109 confirmed and 40 probable cases;
Weedville has 54 confirmed cases and 26 probable; Kersey has 59 confirmed and 52 probable cases of COVID-19; Brockport has 42 confirmed cases and 24 probable; and Sigel has 33 confirmed and eight probable cases.
Potter County’s case breakdown has Coudersport with 248 confirmed cases and 34 probable;
Shinglehouse has 88 confirmed and 14 probable cases; Austin has 47 confirmed and 15 probable cases; while Ulysses and Genesee each have 48 confirmed cases; and Roulette has 31 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
In Cameron County, Emporium has 117 confirmed cases and 42 probable.
Statewide, there are currently 693,087 cases of coronavirus, and the state continues to report we are in the midst of a spike.
In long-term care homes, there are currently 1,489 facilities with cases of COVID-19. Among those facilities, there are 55,864 confirmed cases among residents and 10,313 confirmed cases among staff. In Pennsylvania, there have been 9,311 deaths in long-term care homes due to COVID-19.
The state health department has also created a vaccine distribution dashboard, which states Cameron County has had 71 vaccines partially distributed, McKean County has had 777 vaccines partially distributed, Elk County has had 738 and Potter County has had 191 vaccines partially distributed. As of Thursday, none of the four counties have reported distributing a full vaccine, which requires two doses to be administered.
