Case counts for coronavirus are down slightly in the area, with two counties reporting one new case and the others reporting counts in the teens.
McKean County has 16 new cases for a total of 1,576; Elk County has 14 new cases, for a total of 1,313; Cameron has 135 total cases, up one from the weekend, and Potter County reports 559 total cases, one more than Monday’s total.
In McKean County, there are 1,224 confirmed cases and 352 probable, with 7,836 negative tests conducted. Currently 17 deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported, which is one more than the weekend.
Within the county, cases break down as follows: Bradford currently has 527 confirmed cases and 112 probable; Smethport has 137 confirmed and 10 probable; Crosby has 5 confirmed cases; Port Allegany has 100 confirmed and 11 probable; Kane has 190 confirmed and 27 probable cases; Ludlow has 6 confirmed cases; records show Lewis Run has 50 confirmed and 149 probable cases; Derrick City currently has 8 confirmed and 1-4 probable cases; Duke Center has 11 confirmed and 6 probable cases; Eldred has 71 confirmed cases and 8 probable;
Rixford has 16 confirmed cases of coronavirus; Cyclone has 8 confirmed cases and 6 probable; Gifford has 8 confirmed cases and Rew has 20 confirmed and 1-4 probable cases.
In Elk County, there are 852 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 461 probable cases, with 4,528 negative tests. Elk County remains steady with 14 deaths due to the pandemic.
Within Elk County, St. Marys has 403 confirmed cases and 170 probable cases; Johnsonburg has 83 confirmed and 34 probable cases; Ridgway has 161 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 55 probable; Wilcox has 25 confirmed cases and 13 probable; Kersey has 53 confirmed cases and 32 probable cases; Weedville has 49 confirmed cases and 23 probable and Byrnedale has 5 confirmed and 1-4 probable cases of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, Potter County has 499 confirmed cases and 60 probable, with 13 deaths reported to date. There have been 2,394 negative tests conducted. Of that total case count, Coudersport has 208 confirmed cases and 29 probable; Austin has 33 confirmed and 11 probable cases; Shinglehouse has 62 confirmed cases and 8 probable; Roulette has 25 confirmed cases of coronavirus; Galeton has 49 confirmed cases; Ulysses has 46 confirmed cases; Harrison Valley has 17 confirmed cases and Genesee has 43 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
In Cameron County, as of noon Monday, there were 93 confirmed cases and 42 probable cases, with one death. There have been 748 negative tests conducted. In Emporium, there are 81 confirmed cases and 34 probable, while in Driftwood, there are 5 confirmed cases.
There are currently 613,804 total cases of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania, 554,904 confirmed cases and 58,900 probable. Of the reported cases, 64% of those who have tested positive are now considered recovered. There have been 7,892,184 total PCR tests conducted. To date, 15,086 individuals have passed away from coronavirus in Pennsylvania.
