The Friendship Table tentatively plans to reopen to resume normal operations on Jan. 4.
In the meantime, the board of directors and local businesses are looking for other ways to continue serving the community.
This past week, businesses including Kennedy Street Cafe, Beefeaters, CJ Bar-B-Que and Catering and Save-A-Lot all chipped in to keep the community fed.
