Monday’s reporting on COVID-19 case counts showed 47 additional cases in the region, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
McKean County had 26 additional cases for a total of 1,349 — 1,016 confirmed and 333 probable, with 7,611 negative tests.
Elk County had 16 additional cases for a total of 1,091 — 747 confirmed and 344 probable, with 4,416 negative tests.
Potter County had 5 more cases for 497 total — 444 confirmed and 53 probable, with 2,309 negative tests. Cameron County’s case count did not change, but remained at 110 cases — 76 confirmed and 34 probable, with 721 negative tests.
In Bradford, there were 13 additional cases for 448 confirmed and 106 probable; Lewis Run, 1 more case for 43 confirmed and 149 probable; Kane, 6 more for 163 confirmed and 22 probable; Smethport, 2 more for 100 confirmed and 9 probable; Eldred, 1 more for 56 confirmed and 5 probable; Rew, at least 1 more for 14 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable; and Mount Jewett, 3 more for 24 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable.
In Elk County, St. Marys had 6 more cases for 350 confirmed and 109 probable; Ridgway, 5 more for 144 confirmed and 38 probable; Weedville was at 42 confirmed and 14 probable; Wilcox was at 22 confirmed and 12 probable; and Brockport, 31 confirmed and 17 probable.
In Potter County, Coudersport had 3 more cases for 193 confirmed and 26 probable; and Genesee had 2 more cases for 40 confirmed.
On Monday, there were 9,834 additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania, bringing the statewide total to 548,489.
There are 6,147 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19, double the peak in the spring. Of that number, 1,232 patients are in the intensive care unit with COVID-19.
In Elk County, there were 7 people hospitalized with COVID-19; in McKean, 10 hospitalized, 2 in intensive care; and in Potter, 7 hospitalized, 2 in intensive care.
Mask-wearing is required in all businesses and whenever leaving home. Consistent mask-wearing is critical to preventing the spread of COVID-19.
In nursing and personal care homes, there are 47,189 resident cases of COVID-19, and 8,616 cases among employees, for a total of 55,805 at 1,428 distinct facilities in all 67 counties. Out of our total deaths, 8,065 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities.
In McKean County, 8 facilities reported 180 cases among residents, 35 among staff and 9 deaths.
In Elk County, 3 facilities reported 96 cases among residents, 34 among staff and 4 deaths.
In Potter County, 2 facilities reported 20 cases among residents and 8 among staff.
In Cameron County, 1 facility reported 23 cases among residents and 2 among staff, along with 1 death.
