EMPORIUM — The Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library announced that its second annual Holiday Book Gifting Program was a huge success this year.
Through the generosity of community members who purchased “ornaments” through the program, library staff were able to gift books to all 37 children in Cameron County who submitted a request.
Staff expressed gratitude to Bunny McLean for donating inspirational bookmarks to go with all the gifts.
Parents can stop by the library any time during regular library hours to pick up the gifts. The library will be closed for the holiday after 2 p.m. on Wednesday and will commence services on Dec. 28.
The library building remains closed to the public, so parents are asked to ring the bell in the foyer and a staff member will bring the books out to you.
