All four counties saw an uptick in COVID-19 cases from Thursday to Sunday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Sunday evening, McKean County had an additional 136 cases, for 1,323 total and 12 total deaths; Elk, an additional 108 cases, for 1,075 total and 13 deaths; Potter, an additional 31 cases, for 492 total and 10 deaths; and Cameron, an additional 6 cases, for 110 total and one death.
In Bradford, there were 59 additional cases for 435 confirmed and 106 probable; Lewis Run, nine more cases for 42 confirmed and 149 probable; Kane, 10 more cases for 157 confirmed and 22 probable; Smethport, 12 more cases for 98 confirmed and nine probable; Port Allegany, 11 more cases for 85 confirmed and 11 probable; Eldred, seven more cases for 56 confirmed and five probable; and Cyclone, one additional case for eight confirmed and six probable. Turtlepoint remained at 10 confirmed and one to four probable cases.
In Elk County, St. Marys had an additional 13 cases for 344 confirmed and 109 probable; Ridgway had 18 more cases for 140 confirmed and 37 probable; Johnsonburg had one additional case for 73 confirmed and 28 probable; and Kersey had three more cases for 49 confirmed and 21 probable cases.
In Potter County, Coudersport had an additional eight cases for 190 confirmed and 26 probable; Shinglehouse had 12 more cases for 48 confirmed and eight probable; Roulette had at least one additional case for 23 confirmed and one to four probable; Austin had two more cases for 23 confirmed and eight probable; Galeton had an additional two cases for 44 confirmed and no probable; and Harrison Valley had at least one more case for 17 confirmed and one to four probable cases.
In Cameron County, Emporium had an additional three cases, for 68 confirmed and 28 probable. Driftwood stayed at 5 confirmed cases with no probable, while Sinnamahoning remained at one to four cases with no probable.
As of Saturday there were 9,834 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 548,489.
There are 6,147 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19, double the peak in the spring. Of that number, 1,232 patients are in the intensive care unit with COVID-19. Most of the patients hospitalized are ages 65 or older, and most of the deaths have occurred in patients 65 or older.
In nursing and personal care homes, there are 47,189 resident cases of COVID-19, and 8,616 cases among employees, for a total of 55,805 at 1,428 distinct facilities in all 67 counties. Out of the total deaths, 8,065 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities. Approximately 17,656 of the total cases are among health care workers.
