SMETHPORT — A Bradford man pleaded guilty Thursday in McKean County Court to allegations that he hid from law enforcement officials.
Michael A. Payne, 30, entered the guilty plea to a charge of flight to avoid apprehension. District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer said that on June 6, Payne hid from Foster Township officers while on a detainer for arrest on a felony charge for which he was on state parole. He will be sentenced Feb. 11.
Also in court, Tom Reinard, 84, of Hazel Hurst, pleaded guilty to DUI-related charges in five cases. He entered his plea to in two cases to DUI-general impairment, in two more cases to driving while operating privileges are suspended/revoked due to DUI-third or subsequent offense; and in the third case to a summary charge of driving while BAC .02 or greater while license is suspended or revoked due to a DUI violation. He will be sentenced Feb. 11.
Courtney A. Lajudice, 29, of Erie, pleaded guilty to charges of terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and three summary charges. According to Shaffer, on Oct. 1 in Bradford City, Lajudice tried kicking in the door of a residence, and she was in possession of three used syringes. Also, she tried making physical contact with a Bradford City police officer, and she threatened to murder the officers. After her arrest, she refused to go into the cell. Lajudice will be sentenced Feb. 11.
Kira M. Frontera, 26, of Kane, pleaded guilty to charges of disorderly conduct and two summary charges. According to Assistant District Attorney Bridget Murphy, on July 3, Frontera engaged in fighting or threatening behavior against another person remaining on that person’s property without permission and harassing the person. Frontera will be sentenced Feb. 11.
Taylor R. Hadlock, 27, of Johnsonburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of firearms not to be carried without a license-no other criminal violation. On June 25, she carried a concealed firearm without a lawfully issued license, said Assistant District Attorney Ashley Shade. Hadlock will be sentenced Feb. 11.
Christopher S. Mangione, 45, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to charges of altered, forged or counterfeit documents, possession of drug paraphernalia and a summary charge. On April 24, Mangione altered his vehicle’s date of inspection, possessed needles and drove without required financial responsibility, Shade said. He will be sentenced Feb. 11.
The following people were accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program: Jared M. Jordan, 30 of Jonesboro, Alaska, for DUI-controlled substance; Jacob P. Vanscoter, 21, of Eldred, and Denise R. Russell, 49, of Port Allegany, both for DUI-alcohol; and Michael G. Hannah, 65, of Kane, for DUI-general impairment.
