A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail after he allegedly threw a metal can at a woman’s head.
Cory J. Chatmon, 22, of 71 State St., was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Dominic Cercone on a charge of simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor.
The criminal complaint alleges that at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday, Bradford City Police were dispatched for a report of an assault at Chatmon’s residence. There, they learned that Chatmon threw a metal can of butane lighter fluid, which struck the woman in the back of the head.
The officer saw a large contusion and laceration behind the woman’s right ear, the complaint stated. She was transported to Bradford Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Chatmon is in jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing Dec. 30.
