More than 60 additional cases of COVID-19 for the region were identified in Monday’s reporting by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
McKean County had 31 additional cases for a total of 1,063, Elk had 6 more cases for a total of 861, Potter had 8 more cases for a total of 429, and Cameron had 1 more case for a total of 63.
It appeared as though 2 more deaths from COVID-19 had been reported in McKean County as of Monday, with the health department noting 8 people had died. Elk County has had 12 deaths, Potter County has had 9 and Cameron County, 2.
In the state, there were 7,962 new cases, in addition to 10,684 new cases reported Sunday, for a two-day total of 18,646 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 499,764.
In Bradford, there were 13 more cases for 336 confirmed and 87 positive; in Lewis Run, 1 more case for 30 confirmed and 148 probable; in Kane, 2 additional probable cases for 120 confirmed and 19 probable; in Smethport, 5 more for 82 confirmed and 7 probable; Port Allegany, 2 more for 68 confirmed and 9 probable; Eldred, 5 more for 41 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable; and Cyclone, 1 additional case for 7 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable.
In Elk County, St. Marys had 3 more cases for 304 confirmed and 56 probable; Ridgway had 1 more for 107 confirmed and 23 probable; Johnsonburg had 1 more for 67 confirmed and 18 probable; and Kersey had 1 more case for 38 confirmed and 11 probable.
In Potter County, Coudersport had 1 more case for 172 confirmed and 24 probable; Shinglehouse had 1 more for 35 confirmed and 8 probable; Galeton had 2 additional cases for 39 confirmed; Roulette had at least 1 additional case for 19 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable; Austin had at least 1 more for 18 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable; Harrison Valley had 1 more, for 13 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable; and for the first time, Cross Fork reported 1 to 4 confirmed cases.
In Cameron County, Emporium had 1 additional probable case for 47 confirmed and 6 probable.
In Pennsylvania, there are 5,970 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19. Of that number, 1,227 patients are in the intensive care unit with COVID-19.
According to the health department, there were 5 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Elk County, 10 in McKean County with 3 in intensive care, and 13 in Potter County.
