KANE — The Kane Area Food Pantry monthly distribution will be on Friday, Dec. 18, from noon until 4 p.m. at the St. Callistus Roman Catholic Church in Kane.
The food pantry will distribute pre-packed boxes at the corner of Chase and Haines Streets in a drive-thru style. No more than two households per carload, and participants should have a space cleared in the trunk or back seat for the boxes. New clients are asked to call 598-6162 or 594-6918 before Dec. 16 in order to ensure enough boxes are prepared.
Those who wish to receive food items are asked to come at the following times, according to the first letter of their last name. For December, the schedule is:
• noon to 1 p.m. F through K
• 1 to 2 p.m. L through R
• 2 to 3 p.m. S through Z
• 3 to 4 p.m. A through E
Participants must come during their scheduled time, or after that time. Also, bring proof of identity and address. Only people living in the Kane Area School District are eligible.
