Two additional deaths were reported in Elk County over the weekend, bringing the total of COVID-19 deaths there to 12.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 54 additional cases in Elk County between Saturday and Sunday, for a total of 855 — 615 confirmed and 240 probable. There have been 4,227 negative tests.
Meanwhile, McKean County surpassed a thousand cases of COVID-19 over the weekend — a total that has more than doubled since the start of the month.
The Department of Health reported on Sunday that McKean County had a two-day increase of 53 cases, for a total of 1,032 — 738 confirmed and 294 probable. There have been 7,173 negative tests and 6 deaths.
Potter County has had 42 new cases between Saturday and Sunday, for a total of 421. There are 375 confirmed cases, 46 probable cases, 2,168 negative tests and 9 deaths there.
In Cameron County, the total increased by 4 cases to 62 — 53 confirmed and 9 probable. The county has had 695 negative tests and 1 death.

Statewide, the Department of Health reported 11,084 new cases on Saturday for a total of 481,118.
The department has not been releasing new statewide totals on Sundays.
As of Saturday, there were 5,668 Pennsylvanians hospitalized with COVID-19, and 1,151 of those hospitalized were in the intensive care unit.
There were 201 new deaths for a total of 12,436 across the state.
A total of 30,918 people have had a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases, and 640 people have a positive serology test and either COVID-19 symptoms or a high-risk exposure. To date, 3,025,253 have tested negative statewide.
For the week from Dec. 4-10, Pennsylvania reported a percent positivity rate of 16.2%. During that time, the percent positivity rate in Cameron County was 18.8%; Potter, 14.0%; McKean, 12.6%; and Elk, 11.6%.
