Three additional deaths from COVID-19 were reported in the region as of Thursday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
One more person had passed away in Elk County for a total of 10, and 2 more people in Potter County, for a total of 9. McKean County has had 5 deaths, and Cameron County, 2.
McKean County had 60 additional cases for 954 total — 673 confirmed and 281 probable. Elk County had 21 additional cases for 767 total —565 confirmed and 202 probable. Potter County had 11 additional cases for 383 total — 338 confirmed and 45 probable. Cameron County had 5 more cases for 47 total — 41 confirmed and 6 probable.
In Bradford, there were 24 more cases for 295 confirmed and 83 probable; Lewis Run had 1 more case for 27 confirmed and 148 probable; Kane had 25 more cases for 112 confirmed and 10 probable; Mount Jewett had at least 1 more case with 18 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable; Smethport had 2 more cases for 68 confirmed and 6 probable; Port Allegany had 4 more cases for 55 confirmed and 9 probable; Turtlepoint had at least 1 more case for 9 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable; and Eldred had at least 4 more cases for 33 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable.
In Elk County, St. Marys had 25 additional cases for 273 confirmed and 44 probable; Ridgway had 5 more cases for 96 confirmed and 20 probable; Johnsonburg had 3 more cases for 63 confirmed and 17 probable; Kersey had 4 more cases for 34 confirmed and 11 probable; Weedville had 1 more case for 31 confirmed and 6 probable; Wilcox had 2 more cases for 19 confirmed and 7 probable; and Brockport had 3 more cases for 25 confirmed and 10 probable.
In Potter County, Coudersport had 4 more cases for 156 confirmed and 24 probable;
Shinglehouse had 1 more case for 33 confirmed and 7 probable; Roulette has at least 1 more case for 16 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable; Galeton had 2 more cases for 36 confirmed; Ulysses had 1 more for 28 confirmed; and Genesee had 1 more for 36 confirmed.
In Cameron County, Emporium had 5 additional cases for 37 confirmed and 5 probable.
The health department indicated there were 11,972 additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania for Thursday’s reporting, bringing the statewide total to 457,289.
There are 5,852 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19. Of that number, 1,191 patients are in the intensive care unit with COVID-19.
At Bradford Regional Medical Center, as of Thursday afternoon, there were 11 confirmed cases currently in-house, 2 in intensive care and 9 in the medical unit; 3 patients in-house that are under investigation; and 3 additional patients who were tested but are negative.
In Elk County, there were 4 patients hospitalized. In Potter County, there were 15 patients hospitalized, 1 in intensive care.
In nursing and personal care homes, there are 41,735 resident cases of COVID-19, and 7,742 cases among employees, for a total of 49,477 at 1,373 distinct facilities in all 67 counties of the state.
McKean County has 8 facilities with 124 COVID-19 cases among residents, 25 among staff and 2 deaths. Elk County has 3 facilities with 92 cases among residents, 34 in staff and 4 deaths. Potter County has 2 facilities with 17 cases among residents and 8 among staff.
Cameron County has 1 facility with 2 cases in residents and 1 in staff.
