Johnsonburg Area School District Superintendent Dennis Crotzer announced Thursday that the school has had to quarantine 17 sixth grade students and one sixth grade teacher because they were in close proximity on a bus to an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19. Four other students were quarantined due to close proximity to the individual.
The exposure occurred Tuesday, and the students and teacher were quarantined Thursday morning.
The district also had an adult faculty member at the elementary school test positive for COVID-19 on Monday.
