MOUNT ALTON — Meeting solely by Zoom Wednesday, members of the Bradford Regional Airport Authority approved the airport’s 2021 budget.
“Much of the revenue for the $597,369 spending plan comes from McKean County’s allocation, landing fees and fuel sales,” according to Airport Manager Alicia Dankesreiter. “Funding from the Federal Aviation Administration and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Aviation is only available for projects and not general operations,” she added.
In the airline report, it was noted that 97 percent of the November scheduled flights were completed with 261 passengers enplaned for an average of 8.7 per day.
Southern Airways Express still plans to launch service to Washington’s Dulles International Airport next spring.
SAE has announced that rental cars are now available through Wheels by Southern and Ace Rent A Car even though online booking won’t be used until January 2021.
In the engineer’s report, Brian Wolfel of GAI Consultants noted the parking lot paving project has been completed, with the final inspection to be scheduled.
Additionally, the terminal rehabilitation project is almost finished with the exception of the boiler installation, Wolfel said.
