WARREN— The Pennsylvania Department of Health, with support from the County Commissioners and Department of Public Safety, announced that beginning Thursday, and continuing until Monday, a drive-thru and walk-in testing clinic will be held at the Israel Building on the State Hospital Grounds in at 677 Hospital Drive from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Up to 450 patients can be tested per day. Mid-nasal passage swab PCR tests will be performed. Testing is on a first-come, first-serve basis and is completely free to all patients. Patients must be ages three and older and are not required to show symptoms of COVID-19 to be tested. No appointment is necessary. Patients are encouraged to bring a photo-ID or insurance card and a registration will also be completed on-site. If you have insurance, your insurance will be billed for the test with no copay. If you do not have insurance, your test will still be free. The turnaround time for testing results is two to seven days after testing.
Customers utilizing the drive-thru site, should enter the State Hospital Grounds from North State Street and travel west to the Israel Building (the large apartment-style building on the north side of the campus). Once the test is completed, drive-in customers will be directed to leave via the traffic light on Route 62. These directions are to prevent bottlenecks due to traffic.
Walk-in customers will enter the Israel Building via the South Entrance and have their test administered in the entryway as they enter the building. There are bus stops on the State Hospital Grounds to allow for access via public transportation.
