LEWIS RUN — Lewis Run-based state police are investigating the death of a 78-year-old woman Wednesday in Wetmore Township.

Police did not release the name of the deceased woman.

According to police, at 8:11 a.m. Wednesday, the department was dispatched to Highland Road in Wetmore Township for a report of a deceased female. She was discovered in her residence.

Police characterized the nature of the incident as a natural death. The investigation is ongoing.
