SMETHPORT — A Shinglehouse man has pleaded guilty to allegations he raped a teen and exposed the teen to a communicable disease.
Aaron D. Waters-Milliken, 42, entered the plea Thursday in McKean County Court before President Judge John Pavlock to charges of rape of an unconscious victim and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of a person who is unconscious, first-degree felonies; and recklessly endangering another person, a second-degree misdemeanor.
According to District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer, on Sept. 5, Milliken and his spouse/codefendant — Jason M. Milliken, 43 — had a 14-year-old male spend the night. They were drinking alcohol then went to bed; all three shared one bed with the teen lying between the two adult men.
Aaron Waters-Milliken sexually assaulted the teen, who was not awake, Shaffer continued. By doing this, Milliken exposed the teen to a communicable disease. The teen takes medication to protect himself from the exposure and will be required to undergo medical testing for several years to monitor his health.
Shaffer said she is seeking a sentence of 10 to 20 years of incarceration with additional supervision.
Public Defender Philip Clabaugh, who represents Milliken, said Milliken will have to register as a sex offender for his lifetime.
Jason Milliken, who faces similar allegations in the matter, has a last day to plea conference set for Dec. 17.
Both men are incarcerated in lieu of $200,000 bail.
Aaron Waters-Milliken must undergo a sexually violent predator evaluation and will be sentenced March 18.
