Bradford City officials issued a release Thursday informing residents of a change to City Council meetings.
The statement reads, “Effective immediately, City Council has determined for the safety of the public and staff that City Council Meetings will be closed to the public. The meetings will be available via live stream via YouTube by going to: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6w5IOS19wa0_PAzQ1DNJHA”
The statement also notes that public comment will be accepted via email at councilmeeting@bradfordpa.com or by dropping off questions to City Hall. This can be done any time prior to 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month, which is when regular council meetings are held.
In order to have the comment read during the meeting, Bradford residents are asked to include their full name, address, and phone number. The phone number will not be read aloud. Those who would rather talk live during the council meeting, can drop off a request to City Hall or email prior to the meeting.
Finally, clearly mark the outside of the envelope “For City Council Meeting” or if emailing, place “For Council Meeting” in the subject line of the email.
