CLEARFIELD — Work on a railroad crossing on Wetmore Road in Kane will cause a road closure on Thursday.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is alerting area drivers that the Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad is scheduled to repair a railroad crossing this week in McKean County. The work location is on Wetmore Road (Route 3002), in Hamilton Township, between Olmsted Road and The Glen Lane.
Repair work will make it necessary to close the crossing on Thursday. Drivers will need to use alternate routes to get around the closure.
Work includes removal of the center panels of the existing crossing, removal and replacement of the damaged rail, re-installation of the center panels, and surface patching. Work is expected to be complete by the end of the day Thursday. All work is weather and schedule dependent.
