Today marks the start of the Festival of Trees silent auction, one of three auctions that are part of The Era’s Less Fortunate (ELF) Fund’s auction fundraiser for 2020.
To bid on silent auction items, visit the event website — https://ibid.org/v/EUCEYER6 — from 9 a.m. today through 8 p.m. Thursday.
Participants can also find a link to the site from the “Festival of Trees — ELF Fund” Facebook page.
Bidding for the live auction on Thursday will be done at https://ibid.org/v/EUCEYER6, too. The live auction will livestream from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday. People can visit the website now to get a peek at items that will be available during the live auction Thursday.
People do not need to RSVP to bid. It will take just a few minutes to log in on the bidding website and provide contact and credit card information.
A basket raffle is ongoing, too, at the Main Street Mercantile at 45 Main St., Bradford. Residents can stop down there now to purchase a $10 card that offers 26 chances to win. The basket raffle is the only in-person portion of the event.
Winners for all three auctions will be picked Thursday evening.
The auction is the largest annual fundraiser for The ELF Fund, an organization with a Christmas gift program for children and seniors in the Bradford Area School District. Volunteer gift buyers can find tags hanging from trees in local businesses.
