The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Monday indicated that there were 4,476 new cases, in addition to 5,199 new cases reported Sunday, for a two-day total of 9,675 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 269,613.
On Monday, Elk County had 25 additional cases for a total of 368; McKean County rose by 8 cases to 282; and Potter County rose by 2 cases to 105. Cameron County remained at 16 cases.
In McKean County, Bradford had 1 additional confirmed case for 99 confirmed and 22 probable; Kane had 1 additional case for 31 confirmed and 5 probable; and Smethport had 5 additional cases for 22 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable.
In Elk County, St. Marys had 14 additional cases for 173 confirmed and 14 probable cases; Ridgway had 1 additional case for 44 confirmed and 13 probable; Johnsonburg had 2 additional cases for 40 confirmed and 9 probable; Kersey had 2 additional for 12 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable; Weedville, 1 additional for 15 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable; Benezette had 1 additional for 6 confirmed; and Wilcox, 1 additional, 12 confirmed and 5 probable.
In Potter County, Galeton had 1 additional case for 17 confirmed, and Ulysses had 1 additional case for 6 confirmed.
There are 2,440 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19. Of that number, 531 patients are in the intensive care unit with COVID-19. Most of the patients hospitalized are ages 65 or older, and most of the deaths have occurred in patients 65 or older.
Statewide percent positivity for the week of Nov. 6 – 12 stood at 9.6%.
The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between Nov. 9 and 15 is 366,285 with 35,355 positive cases. There were 43,106 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., Nov. 13 and 60,982 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., Nov. 14.
As of 11:59 p.m., Saturday November 14, there were 38 new deaths and as of 11:59 p.m., Sunday November 15, there were 13 new deaths reported for a total of 9,325 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
Mask-wearing is required in all businesses and whenever leaving home. Consistent mask-wearing is critical to preventing the spread of COVID-19.
There are 8,655 individuals who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases and 644 individuals who have a positive serology test and either COVID-19 symptoms or a high-risk exposure.
