The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Wednesday confirmed that there were 4,711 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 243,368 — again marking the highest daily increase of cases.
Three local counties saw additional cases.
Elk County has increased by 13 cases to 304, McKean County by 8 cases to 227, Potter County by 2 cases to 84 and Cameron County by 1 case to 16.
In McKean County, Bradford saw an increase of 3 cases for 75 confirmed and 22 probable; Kane saw an increase of 1 case for 28 confirmed and 5 probable; Smethport had an increase of 1 case for 12 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable.
In Elk County, St. Marys increased by 10 cases to 142 confirmed and 14 probable; Ridgway increased by 2 cases to 40 confirmed and 13 probable; Johnsonburg by 1 to 35 confirmed and 9 probable.
In Potter County, Coudersport saw 1 more case for 32 confirmed and 1 to 4 probable.
The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between Nov. 4 and 10 is 354,972 with 23,786 positive cases. There were 43,158 PCR test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., Nov. 10.
Mask-wearing is required in all businesses and whenever leaving home. Consistent mask-wearing is critical to preventing the spread of COVID-19.
There are 6,208 individuals who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases and 645 individuals who have a positive serology test and either COVID-19 symptoms or a high-risk exposure.
There are 2,888,761 individuals who have tested negative to date.
