Bradford Area School District has announced a confirmed case of COVID-19 at Floyd C. Fretz Middle School.
According to information shared through the district’s text-alert system,
Wednesday afternoon, school officials “were informed of an additional student who attends Fretz Middle School who is positive for Covid 19. We have completed our contact tracing as per the Department of Health and have notified all families whose students have come in close contact with this student and all will quarantine for the requisite period of time.”
According to the alert, school will resume as normal today for the rest of the students and staff.
This is the second case announced this week, both at Fretz. The first was announced Sunday afternoon.
Northern Potter School District sent a letter notifying families and staff that a staff member in the school district has tested positive for COVID-19. The letter, dated Nov. 10, states that the staff member and two other staff members, who had been in close contact with them, will quarantine for 14 days. It was determined, through collaboration with the Pennsylvania Department of Health, that no students were in close contact with the staff member.
For other staff and students, school continues on a normal schedule with in-person instruction.
