SMETHPORT — A Bradford woman will serve a lengthy state prison sentence for charges stemming from two methamphetamine-related cases.

Christine M. Cutlip, 33, entered a guilty plea and was sentenced Thursday in McKean County Court before President Judge John Pavlock. In one case, she pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiracy-possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony, and in the second she pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance by an inmate, a second-degree felony.

District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer said that on Sept. 28, 2019, Cutlip and Jordan Johnson agreed that one of them would deliver meth, and the agreement led to Johnson ultimately delivering 0.9 grams of meth.

Then, on Sept. 29, 2019, Cutlip, while an inmate in McKean County Jail, possessed about 6.65 grams of meth, according to Shaffer.

Cutlip will serve 35 to 70 months in state prison with credit for 76 days of time served.

Meanwhile, Cutlip’s co-defendant in the meth delivery, Johnson, pleaded guilty in December to a charge of conspiracy-possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, and he is serving one to two years in state prison.

Cutlip will serve her sentence consecutive to a state parole violation.

At the time of the above allegations, Cutlip was on state supervision after being convicted of selling a man fentanyl-laced heroin. The drug caused the man to overdose, and emergency personnel had to revive him with Narcan.
