Millions of Pennsylvania residents voted by mail in the general election, and ballots postmarked by Tuesday and received by Friday at counties’ boards of election still qualify.
Therefore, election officials caution that results may take some time to tabulate. While early counts may be released election night, the results will not be final until all ballots are counted and certified.
Early counts will not necessarily reflect the final results of races.
In McKean County, 4,976 mail-in ballots were sent out to voters. As of late Tuesday, 4,009 had been received in the elections office.
The mail-in ballots are not part of the unofficial results released Tuesday night.
